FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

I'm glad I found it! I've been thinking of reusing my old bantam coop, though I'm still not sure what I want. I think I'm leaning towards a few bantam easter eggers but it's hard to find any. Hopefully I can find someone local on here that has bantams!
I know cackle and Murray Mcmurray offer bantam EEs, if you're looking for someone local, try the BSTI know cackle and Murray Mcmurray offer bantam EEs, if you're looking for someone local, try the BST section of the website? :)

I just offered standard EEs from Meyer, and so far they are doing great (and are *relatively* small so far), so if you're looking for some RIGHT NOW, I think they still have availability for standards. Best of luck finding them, and share pics when you find 'em!

Actually, I raise bantam pure Ameraucanas and I also raise bantam EEs. Have a few available that are laying. Were hatched between Feb 14 and April 29 this spring.

Also have a few pure AM chicks 3.5 weeks old right now. I am in Winter Springs

That is awesome! You wouldn't happen to have any lavenders would you? Sorry I'd look it up, but I'm on my phone at the moment at work. I'd like to have chicks just for the fun of raising them, and I still need to finish fixing up the area so it won't be right now right now. But I am definitely interested!

I looked into the BST and was going to try there when I was ready to get some. Sadly the coop and area I have to house them in is really too small for standards. We had it for bantams years ago, and I wanted to get back into them. I still have to finish fixing it up since it's been empty for so long, so sadly I can't get anything right away. Thank you though!

I do have Lavender Bantams and will be hatching both pure AMs and EEs in that color variety. I also have 2-3 Wheaten AMs that meet the standard but not really show competition quality and I sell them as backyard blue egg layers at EE prices.

will send you some pics later

That makes complete sense, well, best of luck! :)

VENT! So I rescued a OEG pullet and she, as of yesterday, is mostly integrated with my other 4 girls. I rescued her right before hurricane Hermine came through and it has taken this long to go through our separation And integration period. So finally after hurricane Matthew has come and gone she is with my big girls. I will say my big girls have never had any real issues since i've had them at a day old. Since rescuing this OEG, I have treated my flock for coccidia, lice and now worms. Now I'm not blaming my new girl because I'm sure the wet weather had a lot to do with some of it. It's just very aggravating for things to be so simple and then turn so chaotic over one little chicken. The upside to my venting is that I have given this chicken who was left behind, a new home and sisters to live with.

Hello everyone! Quick question as a newer chicken keeper I was wondering if y'all could help me out! Is this what fowl pox looks like? If so how should I treat the girls? I have 5 hens
Thanks

Hard to say for sure from the pic, but I think it may be dry fowl pox. There is also a wet pox. Check the inside of the mouth. With both types of pox, I up the protein, fruits, veggies, soak bread and crumbles in milk. Vitamins in water. If wet pox in the mouth they cannot eat enough unless you make it easy for them. Most of those are lost to starvation or secondary infection because their immune system is overtaxed. I think you can have wet and dry at the same time also. Someone else may know for sure.

Neosporin without pain reliever or other antiseptic ointments help the comb. I have personally started using raw unfiltered honey on BooBoos. It is a natural antibiotic and anti-inflamitory. Other than that it just has to run its course now.

Good luck with her
