I got them for my son, but both of them are turning out to be more mine than anyone else's. hahaha... Athena is going to be a BEAUTIFUL hen! I got very lucky w/ her, she was next to last left & the only SQ out of the 2 girls!! She is very loving as well too! I took both our new girls to my sons school this morning for show & tell and they were a hit!!

Don't spoil cause when I have my swap in Jan,You can bring them.

OMG OMG OMG!!! I am running on a high right now...someone PLEASE read this ordinance for the city I live in (Pinellas Park, FL) and tell me I am reading it correctly- I AM ALLOWED TO HAVE CHICKENS!!! Granted, I already do, haha, but I have been trying to be sneaky about it so no one knows...kinda hard to do with Big Red, my RIR roo...lol...granted, he's actually not that big of a crower anyways...I swear I read the ordinance before and it said I could not have them...maybe the laws have been changed? Maybe I was reading an old ordinance?! Oh, and it doesn't state that I CAN'T have a rooster either! Unless a neighbor complains, blah blah blah...ok, here's the code, and yes, this link came from the city website itself...OMG OMG OMG....tell me I'm right!!!

Since it says you can't let fowl run at large and must be fenced, seems like they are allowed. And they can't be venomous or killers. Or be a public nuisance. (that's wehre they can get you with roosters).
