We live in the lovely Panhandle of Florida. Pace to be exact and we have 1 Mottled Java Rooster, 1 Mottled Java hen, 6 Rhode Island Reds, and 5 Americanas and 1 Chaweenie (rat dog I call her) that thinks she is the ultimate chicken herder. We started raising chickens this past April so this will be our first winter.

from Merritt Island! Love the looks of the Mottled Java, don't hear of many with them on the this thread.

at your Chaweenie herding dog, you have chickens bigger then it, bet that's a funny scene. What color Ameracuana do you have? We are just building two flocks of them. One Lavendar and the other Wheaten.

anyone close to me want a young female Rouen mix (possibly)? She is about 7-8 weeks old. Good sized.. not quite fully feathered. She is the only one that survived my last hatch and free-ranges well with my chickens. Unfortunately, she doesn't go to bed with them at night and makes me chase her about the yard to put her away. I have two big dogs that are not fowl friendly that have to go out to potty at night. It would be healthier for her to go to a home with other ducks and with a body of water. Let me know if you are interested..

Ok everyone help me get rid of these roosters.cause now the ROOS are out numbering the hens.I got 4 Buff Orpington roos.3 RIR roos. And they have to go now. They are going cheap so hurry while their available.
