OMG, I was just given 4 dozen eggs to hatch for a friend and he said I can have 1/2 of what hatches out.Plus I just got me another incubator that I had found on CL $40.They said it was brand new & still in the box.When I looked at it I seen that it was still Brand new as they had said.They said they was gonna get into hatching eggs but it just never happened so they just stored the incubator with egg turner.

It's made of welded wire with a 2 ft. skirt of 1/2 in. hardware cloth. A couple 2 by 4 s . A couple pipes held down with pipe brackets to support the top.

I wasn't in a loft but on top of a ladder looking over a 10 ft. wall that's between stalls.

the hen up fron is an Ancona I have 3 pullets and a rooster that have to go so that I make room for other naked colors.

I love polka dotted chickens but I don't think that breed is for me. I read that they're flighty, like to roost in trees and hide their eggs. Is that right?

mine are in a pen and free range and have never had to chase one up the tree, they come right in to the coop. they are flighty, can not touch them. about the eggs I have never heard that one but I collect their eggs from the coop.

I had before other chickens that did hide the eggs but that was before they had their own coop.

I have other hens at the moment in small coops that they only sleep in but have no nest boxes they do hide the eggs from me too, but I can see why. ( cochins )

Wjust what I thought but never seen the pipe in there unless hiden.Have you listened to the song (Brown Chicken, Brown Cow)? Update Just cleaned up the other incubator up that I just got and filled it with chicken & turkey eggs.

Black Cochin, those are beautiful. I have a banty that is the red of your third one, dark on the bottom, very green. What color would that be?

I'll be setting some mottled ancona eggs this week.... (got them on the swap thread...)
