My birds are molting and molting hard... Same thing last year about this time of the year.
How does everyone show their birds at this time of year?

That's why I got naked necks jejejeje

I live in Lakeland. I don't have chickens yet, but am planning ahead. I plan to build a coop this winter (after the drain field is re-done) and get hens in the spring. I have a couple of friend here who also have chickens.

waterfowl, LoL they seem to molt earlier and recover faster than chickens and are show ready again.

Mine have not even started molting yet. I might find a feather or two here or there, but that is about it. One thing that I have noticed is that mine stopped laying almost a month ago

They may be going through a light molt. My pens look like there has been pillow fights. It's that time of year.

AMEN to that one.. I tossed some treats on the ground today. Then I watched a hen grab the treat and a feather. She ate them both in one gulp!
