My amerucana x rode island red chickens are 44 days old today.. When should I expect eggs? Like day 100?

about 150+ days. Sometimes they lay a little sooner but usually not.

44 days is only like 6 weeks old, lol. If you want eggs in 6 weeks, try quail, I've never had them but I heard they lay that quickly...

Just tell him it is worth the wait. He will never eat another store bought egg after he tastes fresh eggs.

Someone on another thread said, "your first egg costs $1000.00. The rest are free." Maybe you should tell him he is getting his money back in none material ways. The pleasure and enjoyment you get from raising chickens, the sense of responsibility you are gaining from caring for them, and the sense of accomplishment you will feel when you have raised them and are producing eggs to help recoup some of the expenses are priceless!
