Someone on another thread said, "your first egg costs $1000.00. The rest are free." Maybe you should tell him he is getting his money back in none material ways. The pleasure and enjoyment you get from raising chickens, the sense of responsibility you are gaining from caring for them, and the sense of accomplishment you will feel when you have raised them and are producing eggs to help recoup some of the expenses are priceless!But I'm not trying to make him seam "mean"

We sell our eggs,He's a business man. He's only worried about makin his money back selling eggs witch even if we sell every egg them chickens lay.. It won't catch up for the coop money an feed money..
