As some of you know I am a chicken outlaw and a crowing rooster can be a problem in my situation. I really hate to give him up since I've grown so fond of him. He and his little haram are quite close too. I don't believe he is aggressive at all but he is still young. He is about 5 1/2 months old. He is very good at tending to his ladies. He watches the sky well. He loves grapes, kale, frozen bread, oatmeal, broccoli raw or cooked, corn on the cob raw or cooked, wheat grass, any seed, pumpkin, watermelon, cantaloupe, plain Greek yogurt, mealworms, really I have not found anything he doesn't like. He has been on a natural diet since hatch. He doesn't like being picked up but once he's up he settles in. I really hate to see him go but I would rather him go some place he can be a rooster. My husband is giving me a few days to find him a safe home otherwise he will do the unthinkable. My chickens have never been intended to be food themselves so I let myself get attached. Oh ya the important stuff. He is a New Hampshire. As I said he is about 5 1/2 months old. I was told he would make a good show bird by a friend. I don't show so I don't know how true this is. He is really hard to get pictures of so I did my best. Sorry some are a bit blurry. I also have a hen same breed if someone wouldn't take him without her for a breeding pair. I don't think she would be free. These birds have cost me some money. I NEED A HOME!!! Please help me if you won't eat me. PM my mommy if you are interested. She is willing to deliver me within reason.![]()
