Hello all...

I live in Venice, FL the southern side of it not the island...Hubby was awarded a home from a non profit that works with wounded military members. I was super excited to find out that Sarasota CO. allows for chickens (no Roosters). I have always wanted chickens and or a farm house...looks like I get chickens instead

I don't have any friends in the area and would love to make some new ones so feel free to add me if you like. I also like to cook, bible studies (Which have been by myself), read, learn, garden, canning, scrapbook and sew.

I can't wait to get my coop and home for future feather babies. My son is also going to love this experience of raising chickens, he already loves to help me in the garden

Don't need show quality, just some happy healthy backyard companions. When do they usually start having chicks at standard feed?

It's unfortunate you live so far away because I'm getting some chicks next week. Too many. . So they'll be going to a feed store. I will meet anyone within 30 miles of Spring Hill/Brookesville.
