I love my mutts and I'm sure I'll still end up with a few. They are great layers.

By not allowing them to breed with a male I don't want them to breed with. Usually 3 weeks will clear them but I usually wait at least a month so I know that the chicks I hatch out will be from the male and females in that particular breeding pen.
