We decided to get chickens while searching for a plant to intercrop with bananas.
Makes double use of the feed !

I'm Dan Rather and tonight on the CBS evening newz .....an old addiction returns ....people are doing it in backyards across the nation ....and what's more ....a push for legalization..... (que music)

We haven't collected the whole set YET ;b
Hens so far 1 copper black maran, 2 blue marans, 2 light brahmas, 3 gold sex links, 1 dark Brahma.
1 dark Brahma roo.
5 barred rocks, probably all roos with my luck (not like theirs will be any better LOL)

Southern central Florida just east of Saint Cloud.

We are looking for some Jersey Giants, dark egg marans, something blue, foghorn leghorn clips on youtube....

There are Floridians on here with Marans, Jersey Giants, and blue Andalusians. And I know of a Florida breeder/poultry judge of blue Langshans that recently advertised on eBay.

Blue Langshans? I wonder how they compare to Jersies in temperament?

I've had blue and black bantam Langshan roos. They were sweet, shy and non-aggressive, except mine were like feuding brothers with each other.

Danny Padgett of Lake Butler has LF black, and bantam black and blue Langshans. He sells both chicks and hatching eggs. And he's a poultry judge for both the APA, and the ABA.

Here's one of his LF black Langshan roos. Stunning bird!
