FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

I'll second that motion! I didn't move from KS to FL for weather that's just as cold, brrr. At least I haven't seen any freezing rain here (at least, not yet, lol).

I'm actually thinking of building a fire in the fireplace and it's not even thanksgiving, now that's pretty sad for Florida. LoL

That is sad. We have a fireplace but since it wasn't used for at least 2 yrs. before we bought this place, we want to have it cleaned & checked out first. Kind of funny, my friends back in KS think we just eat oranges at the beach in 88 degree temps all year, lol. No convincing them otherwise!

We moved here (Putnam county) in August of last year. I grew up in KS and moved to Key West in 2010...now that was pretty nice! Sometimes it was chilly but not like what I'd grown up with. I acclimated to those tropical temps quickly and now am freezing again. We moved up north here to be able to afford a house with a bit of land so we could have a small farm.

Talking about the beach earlier made me recollect a comic I posted some time back:

Lucky chickens!

I've had a fire in the fireplace for the last few days! Yes, I'm a true native!

We've had a fire in the fireplace for the past couple of days and nights and a couple of days and nights last week too. I'm not a native but we moved to Florida when we were young because of my mother's health, so I have been here most of my life. I have only seen snow 2 or 3 times in around 60 years. It just covered the ground enough to make it white but melted very quickly. My early years we were in St Pete but now we live near Ocala. I remember when I was a kid, Largo and Seminole were orange groves, no more orange groves, now they're cities.

Quote: I have been having fires. We use our fireplace for heat. We have a system that draws the air in from the outside the air is heated by the fire in the fireplace and and a blower that blows the hot air into the room. Our house is a small house with one big room with the kitchen, dining and living rooms all in one. It's been pretty cold in the mornings here and we have been having frost covering the ground. It doesn't last long but lately the ground is all white when I get up in the morning from the frost.

It may always be Sunny here in Florida but it's not always warm.
30 degrees here in north central Florida this morning burrrr.
Anyone else besides me and the lizards freezing their butts off. LoL
According to the weather it's warmer up north than it is here, please will somebody turn the heat back on!

Well we are in luck tomorrow it is supposed to be warmer and by Saturday in the upper 70's. I''m so glad it will be nice for the Crystal River Mall Farm Swap.
