Think I may go. I am not sure what I want but I know I want to look...I think I may be interested in a couple silkies...I just took a silkie back home that I was doctoring and she was so so so sweet! So much personality. I could have kept her but she would not have had another to buddy with and she missed her home. She was older. Are they mostly a personable chicken or was she just special?

most sillkies are very layed back Once you pick them up they kinds melt into your arms. There are alot of house silkies in this thread as well as silkie lovers. They are the perfect chicken for children

She let my granddaughter hold her wrapped in a towel for an hour or so while I had to take some pictures. At one point she was snoring!
Thanks...I think I will def need a couple silkies then! I only have 6 chickens so two more won't hurt...

I am SOOOOOO disgusted with the cold weather here! It's supposed to be in the 20s for the next 4 nights! Egads! It's FLORIDA! Didn't anybody tell the weather??????

It's coooold here today! The wind blew like crazy all night. I'm hoping when it gets daylight I won't find too much damage out there. We heard a crash last night and went out with the flashlight but didn't see anything. I'm ready for summer already!

Well it was only 31 when I went out this morning...I hope tomorrow is not as bad as they predicted either.
