I was wondering if anyone local could show me how to process a chicken?? We did our first on Monday morning and it is not something I will repeat until I have someone to step me through it! Ughhhhhhh it was rough! Maybe I am not cut out for processing my own chickens!

My goats come from Grant and are fainters. We love them because they don't climb the fence andvare less likely to escape.

Good to know they have improved things at Funky. When we went it was so dirty and smelly, everything it shouldn't have been.

Question for anyone who might know.


I have two EE's who lay beautiful olive eggs, what is the best roo to look for to start a project flock? I have 4 RIR Roos, but I suspect I need to find an EE roo hatched from an olive egg? I am willing to share chicks/eggs with someone if you can help me with this project.

I might be able to help!! I have 28 eggs incubating and many of them are green/olive EE. The woman I got the eggs from wasnt sure what breeds they are and what they are mixed with but if any Roos come out of green eggs you are welcome to them if you like. Idk if you want "mutts" but maybe they will still be beautiful mutts

YaY! Let me know what you want for one of the Roos (assuming at least 1 will hatch a boy) I am quickly figuring out I love my EE's best.

Well, I'm only planning on keeping a few hens and "rehoming" the others. I'd be willing to do a trade for a pullet/fertile eggs of any breed for someone or if you don't have one now, you can pick your roo for free

I'm just getting started and really LOVE the hatching part

. Not doing it for money.. Yet.

we will see how good my hatch rates are. I'd be willing to go in with some people and get some specialty eggs for a hatch too. Silkies or something fancy?
