OMG...you guys are to blame! After getting my 3 girls at the swap in St. Pete last Saturday, I couldn't help myself and got 3 more chicks this week! I ended up getting 3 RIR babies approx 8 weeks old from the Seffner area (nice people!)...Anyways, these birds are a little older than my first 3 (a GL cochin and 2 silkie/Polish crosses), so I have them separated for now, because one of the RIR pullets is being somewhat nasty to my tinier gals...I know RIRs can sometimes be like this, but do you think it's possible to eventually house them together when they are bigger?! Everyone is in the house for now (because I don't have my coop built yet), but they get daily outings in the yard together and seem ok...it's just in the close quarters they were getting picked on...I can make a coop with separate areas if needed...or maybe 2 coops?! OMG, I need to buy my house in the country already...I've been doing everything backwards! (I got my pickup truck (i.e. my farmtruck), my horse, and now some chickens while still living in the city...probably should have gotten my farm first...lol)...Anyways, any suggestions on helping my girls live harmoniously would be greatly appreciated!!!
