Gee I don't know, I really can't tell from the photos. Why don't you build one just like that in MY yard and then I'll let you know if it could be improved...

Carol,

Here is hoping that lump is nothing more and you and John can get back to normal.

Had a new grow out pen delivered that I found on craigslist. My oldest and dad helped put it in the yard, but in the wrong spot lol. Now to move a 12'L x 3 x 3 on 2.5 raised legs structure moved to where it belongs. Oh well, just glad we have it, well built, going to tweak a few details and start using it full time for the call ducklings.

I think I want to get a puppy from you and not chickens!!!! Supper dogs!!! lol

LoL they are great dogs really, some days they drive me crazy! We do have plans to breed them, but they are only 1.5 each so waiting till they turn 2.

I wish more places were open to backyard flocks. So glad we live where we do.

Oh and on that note. Off to pick up a pair of white Sebastopols tomorrow, a pair of Buff geese, a pair of peachicks and who knows what else when I get done. LoL warned hubby I am off on a road trip tomorrow to pick up new birds. Saturday we get to buo.d a new goose house and paint the first one we have here now.

Newest hatched chicks are getting big, going to get to put them outside in the day flight cages this weekend. Quail have tripled their size since hatching. Time to build their grow out housing in the next week. 180+ eggs incubating currently and call ducklings are 98% feathered out and loving their new grow out pen and mini pool.

We have thinned the LF laying age flock to make room for these new chicks, adding onto the coop with open air housing. Wish we had a touch more land so we could have a swap here at our place. The 3 acres just doesn't seem big enough lol.
