FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Sorry about the chick over night Jess. I may have a Lav or blue EE and do have Lav pure breds hatched but no idea roo's or hens yet. I am culling heavily of all hatched chicks keeping only select ones for next year, so I will have extras once they start growing out more.

Will have OE, EE, and pure all available. We have over 160 eggs in the bator right now, mostly call ducks but some chicks and large ducks too. About to set 8 or 9 peafowl also this next week.

still gonna work on a silkie however.

Not a problem, just sold the last EE's this week we were not keeping. Will let you know as soon as these are ready to be split up.

Forgot to ask do you use marbles in the water dish? All new hatchlings get marbles in the water trays for 2 weeks.

No, I never have used marbles though I had heard of that. Just didn't have any marbles and didn't have any problems before. I usually raise the dish up a bit with a piece of wood or something but didn't last night because I took her out of the incubator around 12am and was SOO exhausted. I will have to find some to use from now on. My dear husband didn't quite get it when I was crying this morning because of that darn baby...

I'm sorry for your loss...

fyi, it looks like its going to storm here also...and I'm to go out tonight...gulp!!!

Well all our non-laying hens and roosters were sold $35 for 10 hens and 4 roosters so now we have a small pen to keep the babys in when they get 3 months old and we can tell they are roosters thats where they are going and in a few months when they are older they are getting sold so my flock will have RIR,BR,WR,BO,EE,Ambers or GSL and RSL

I know we need the rain....but come on 5 days in a row!!!!!

...........My lawn needs mowing, I need to lay some pavers, put some sod down...the rain is killing me! At least I know my coop is going to keep the birds dry! lol

My son just took a bribe of wzteermellon out to the goats so he can mow without their help! LoL we need the rain, but I have to get pairing done. Oh well to hot outside, looking forward to a cool down.
