Pasture flooded, canals overflowed. It appears to be hip to waist deep. Knee deep water in the yard and we have 1 building with water sloshing in. Front yard has gone down only enough to not have water running across the driveway now.

Aww man, I wish we could get some of that rain!! My hubby & I keep watching the radars and it's everywhere but on us! (Here in Okeechobee...)

But on a better note, we have been doing some serious work out in the yard the last couple of days. && We are even finishing up our 15x15 run TODAY! All that's left is to make a few of the "toys" for the girls to have out there to hang out on! Can't wait to finish up & post some new pics!!

Hope everyone is surviving the tropical wave. Can it please stop raining now? I have QUICKSAND in part of my backyard. I've never even seen quicksand before!

Wet isn't a good look for the silkies & the big girls are mostly smart enough to avoid getting wet.

My neighbor asks "why didn't you put the coop down there?" & points to a cooler, shadier part of my lawn... which slopes down to a creek "well because if I put them there I'd have chicken soup." Turns out I was right! Plus, where I have them, a floodlight automatically turns on every night & I feel like that's a nice predator deterrent. So far, no night attacks/ attempts.

Yeah it's scary outside

I hope everyone is ok through the night. While it was not raining today I sterilized all of the food and water containers and got rid of the standing water everywhere I could to prevent mosquitoes. I made a few new threads today.
