I officially want one of these. Now I just need some carpentry skills.

I posted that I would come and bring a BBQ grill. We can bring birds to sell if some advance advertising is done on Craig's list, and fliers put in local feed stores. I can bring Australorps, Delawares and EE's. Maybe a few Ameracaunas and Barred Rocks too. ......stan
Hey Stan. How old are the birds you are bringing? I need to know which size cages to bring. I want some of everything!

I was thinking that we needed to redo the fl list to make it easyer for other to find where they are, any Ideas?

Its a very simple design.Just a lot of 2x4s.My husband built it heavy so that it could weather a pretty tough storm although its not major hurricane proof.(oh dear I dread that day as I know I will be bringing the chickens in the house) but the coop weighs about 300-400 pounds. It can be built with a lot less wood than that though.Again he just built it very sturdy. The panel along the bottom was something we added after the fact.It keeps the rain from splashing in.

You know FIVE hens is really not enough LOL.... The min needs to be something like 10.
My husband tried to limit me to 5 when we first got started. There are just too many choices out there....

A couple of leghorns, A couple of EEs, a couple of marans, a couple of partridge rocks, a silver and a gold laced wyandottes, a couple of speckled sussex..... ROFLMAO....

I know what they need to do - - - -5 hens per person, not per household.... That would work!

It is like eating potatoes chips... you just can't stop MORE MORE MORE MORE!

SERIOUSLY, I am so glad to see the cities start making chickens legal....even if it is only 5!

I completely agree with you! In Melbourne we can have 6 hens. When I had my farm I had over 200 birds, now just 6 makes it too hard to choose.I had my 6 but couldnt pass on having Easter Eggers so now I am 3 over the limit. As long as I keep supplying my neighbors with eggs, they are OK with that.

Nava why not a list by species.

LF Chickens. --

use name -- location -- breeds

Bantam chickens -

user name - location -- breeds

LF Ducks --

user name -- location -- breeds

Bantam ducks -

user name - location -- breeds

Ornamental Ducks -

user name - location - breeds

Geese -

user name - location - breeds

Or can be location based with breeds listed.

Like:

East Central (space coast)

Celtic Oaks Farm - Brevard County
Geese (Sebastopol, American, Pomeranian, Toulouse)
Ducks (French White Muscovy, Silver Appleyard, Khaki Cambell)
Ornamental (Mandarin, & Wood ducks)
Chickens (French Black Copper Marans, Easter Egger)

Or could be by county and listed like above.

I like the county Idea, as the list of chickens well there's just to many people and breeds that they have, too much work,

But if I list in alphabetical order the counties and who lives in them maybe that would be easier, what you guys think>
