FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Hey Florida Friends...I am so glad I found this thread. I am so excited to have others near me to chat with!

I have a couple of young roos I need to rehome. One is a Blue Splash Langshan Bantam (hatched 2/10/12). The other is a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte (hatched 1/7/12). Both are beautiful boys and will be great additions to a breeding program. PM me if you are interested. I am not asking for $$. Just want them to go to chicken lovers like me!

What have you Florida folks found to be the best food to give your hens? I'm a firm believer that good food equals good health. Right now the chicken teenagers are eating the TSC furnished chick feed. Just wondering if there's something better out there. Thanks!

I feed Neutrena Nature Wise All Flock 18% to all my chickens older than 7 weeks. It keeps things simple. Since I keep roos and a good roo is worth his weight in gold. IMO I don't think roos need the extra calcium. I give free choice oyster or crushed egg shell. I also free range so they get their share of bugs. Once a day they get a treat of 1/3 BOSS, 1/3 wild bird see and 1/3 scratch grains.
