She is less than 3 months old and I tell ya I was sold her as a rooster but am thrilled it turned out to be puller. She is real sweet and doesn't have too behavior. I am hoping for blue eggs

chickenadventure, If you look real close at the comb a roo will have 3 rows of peas. A larger row in the center and a small row on each side. Like stan said it will also be swollen and darker pink. A pullet will have just one real small row.

Yay! Then we have a pullet! Woot! That was an accident but a lucky one.

Well, we have at least one rooster. He (Myrna!) is big and beautiful. We love him, but he can't stay. Our first choice is to have him for dinner. Our second choice is to give him away. Third choice will be to take him back where we got him - the sellers had no problem taking any of them back that ended up being roosters. Still, first choice is to have him processed. Anyone know where I can take him to get him processed (near Tampa)? I would do it myself (I'm not squeamish) but Mister can't stand the idea.

He won't stay still, so this is the best picture I could get of him. Maybe I could bring him to a poultry swap? How do I find out when and where swaps are? Thanks in advance for any information.

I don't know his breed. Someone suggested Easter Egg, which is probably correct. I live in North Tampa but I can travel anywhere. We do Great Dane Rescue so we travel all over the area, from Orlando to Crystal River to Sarasota but I'd rather have someplace between Plant City and St. Pete. Thanks for the link.

If you lived closer to me in western West Palm Beach I'd teach you how to process him yourself. It's a useful skill to have, and not as bad as you think. There are a few messy bits but for the most part it's like handling the chicken you buy at the store. It's worth it to never have to be concerned about "what will I do with these unwanted roosters?"

Would have to see a better shot of it's head. It's in the shadow. Also a side body shot would help. But looking at the feet I would say pullet.

I would almost bet a pullet...Hey Fuzzybutts I got 5 silkies just hatched and I'll trade you all 5 for a barred rock.Pullet.
