Hi Checking in from the Redlands...... almost as far south as
you can get without being i the keys.


I have my first chicks ever, they are so much fun. I have almost finished the chicken coop.

I have 25 chicks, one chick that is a fayoumi, her name has just been fayoumi, they should all be
girls but I think that fayoumi might be a boy... and he/she is chasing the others allover the
place.

the others are black polishes(polly D and her gang), buff polishes (buffy and her gang),
buttercups(nosey1 and nosey 2), campines (no names yet),
ameraucana (sparkle), , phoenix (phoebe), red cap (titfer) , cochins (fluffy and her gang),
bramas (the no-name crazies),dominique (Desdemona),

i think thats all of them...

Thanks for the advice, I have had only one issue with that (at least so far), when they were quite little. I put some of the purple rooster booster on the polishes hat and then the bully chick tried again and it hated it so bad it was running around trying to get the purple stuff off it's beak. I have not had any problems since....

Sorry not to reply to your PM but for some reason neither my daughter or I cannot pm anyone on this site...arrgh not sure why not...we type away and hit send/submit and then it tells us we have to type a message first LOL
Anyways...we are still looking for a few chickens (prefer orps) and we are sorry you couldnt make it to the swap in Oxford. All the other swaps are a little too far for us (gas wise) and we are still working on our coop.
If we get babies they can be in a tack room for a while...if you have older chicks then we need a few more days to finish our coop LOL Have to make it Jack Russell (we have 2 of them) and coyote (we can hear them howling off in the distance) /varment proof as we are on back of a 50 acre horse farm. Please pm me your phone number and I will call.
