Today I went to the Barberville Swap Meet and met my chicken-loving neighbors who live just a mile from me. There must be more people like us in this area.

If you are chicken addicted and would like to attend a get together to TALK CHICKEN PM me. I'm close to DeLand, DeBary, Lake Helen, Deltona, Sanford, Lake Mary, and other surrounding areas.

I picked up 6 two month old Gray Saddleback Pomeranians today. My older geese put on quite a show when I took them out of the truck. My gander came running hissing and having a fit. When he realized they were just babies, he started cooing to them, and guarded them all afternoon and evening until I forced him to go to bed. My goose was not as impressed, and went back to sitting on her eggs.

This is what I've been up to for the past wk. Made the door myself from spare parts. This was taken before I cut the poop door, which I just finished today. It rained ALL DAY yesterday and just couldn't finish it. The Brown Leghorns will be so happy or so I thought. They sat just inside the door, a few of the pullets came out but the rooster is a wuss.

I just got my Wheaten Marans yesterday! We had to drive four hours to get to Inverness to do it, but that was the only breeder of Wheatens we could find in Florida willing to sell chicks! It was well worth the drive and we are now very happy. Went to buy 6 and ended up with 9!

Very nice Ingrid!! Like being at the beach everyday, and it's so good to see someone making good use of a horse stable!!
