Alieda, that is such a good idea! How often I wander around trying to figure out who is who and too embarrassed to ask names again because I've already forgotten it three times!

See you there.

Ok all

We will be looking to buy

2 midget white turkeys (Tom and hen)
Blue or lemon blue Cochins (prefer trios)
At least a peafowl, need to figure out if this one we have outside is a cock or hen

Also looking for Marans and Ameracuana (wheaten, blue or lavender)

Is anyone bringing hatching eggs? Our son is doing a Jr science live animal experiment this year and is going to test how temperature effects the sex of hatching chicks. He has studies on Turkeys and reptiles he is referencing for this to compare to. He three bators, a contol unit, a high unit and a low unit. It runs now all the into February when he displays his results and is judged on his total project, log book, theory, thesis, and visual display as well as live interview. So he will be looking to run three hatches times two rounds 1 doz eggs per bator.

Will have for sure:
OE
EE
A few Ameracuana (unless they sell this week)
Call ducklings from Juvenile to just feathering to just hatched a week ago
White top hat blue polish

Looking forward to next Saturday.

I can help you with the Midget Whites. I'll be bringing some to the swap.

Unfortunately in the case of avians (birds) temperature does not affect the gender of the embryo the way it can with some reptiles. Sure would be nice if it could!
