They come in different lengths and are galvanized to resist weathering. An good way to install them is to lay them over your floor joists BEFORE you install your flooring and install your flooring over the straps. I've installed the tie down bolts using an electric impact wrench and it justs screws them in the ground pretty quick. Alternate tightening up each end so you don't pull your coop out of square or out of place. Hope this helps. Good luck.
