Florida has a new Cottage Food law.

It barely received any mention in the news that I heard so I thought I'd try to get the word out. Back in July the Florida State Legislature changed the regulations on selling certain kinds of food made in home kitchens.

That's the brochure the state created to tell folks about the new change. There are limitations of course and labeling requirements, but it means that so long as you stick with the listed foods you can now LEGALLY sell the foods you make in your home.

We're seriously considering baking something like pound cakes to take to the poultry swaps as a way of selling more of our eggs.

Read about that when I was reading about regulations for selling foods from home kitchens. I signed our petition in favor of letting people sell foods from their kitchens. Now if we could only pass selling and purchasing raw milk in Louisiana.
