Down in the 30's tonight, is there any need to worry about the girls? They are in a coop but the windows will be open. They seem to be fine in this weather, am I right?

From what I've read, we don't seem to have to worry so much about the weather issues most others have, since we don't have the consistly freezing temps. I'm in the central part of the state. Does the northern part of the state (which gets significantly colder more often), have to worry more about winterizing?

They need to be out of the direct wind, dry, well hydrated, and have a crop full of feed. Other than that they ought to pass the cold nights OK. I don't do anything special for mine.
