I'm not sure if this is the place to post this, but I'm wondering if somebody in central Fl is breeding (and possibly selling) Lavender Orpingtons? I've tried to get hatching eggs through the mail twice, and both batches were usps disasters... I ended up with one black split to lav baby out of all the eggs I set. In the last 2 weeks, I've seen a couple local craigslist ads with lavs for sale, but when I call, the lavs have already been sold (So somebody around here must have them, right?). So, I'm wondering if there's some lovely BYCer in the area who might be able to help me track down a couple eggs or birds or something. It seems a shame to have one lonely little split lav pullet with no one to keep her company!
