Just wondering what flowers chickens don't destroy especially Lily's. I just got a few Lily's and a rose bush and wondering if my chickens will wreck them, my flock free ranges all day. Since the chickens free range and do their thing plus have access to feed will that help with them not getting into my garden and plants lol
The only thing in my yard that was safe from the free rang chickens was the Oleanders. The chickens had to be confined to their own yard. They love to eat the bugs but next on the menu was the flowers. Even Marigolds which are supposed to taste bad. They did not care for onions, so your Lilies might be safe for a short time! Most animals around here leave my Iris alone, even the deer and Javalina, so I hope that they will be safe from chickens, but I am not letting chickens free range in my flowers. I put fencing around my new roses to protect them from all of our wildlife.
