Day off here and it got to 44° so I busted all the ice from all the water bowls and stocked them up with two days food. Next two days are supposed to have a few hours above freezing so tomorrow should be just bust a little layer of ice.
After that 5 mild days predicted but that might change. Thanks Phil. I wanted to go with Willie's prediction but I can't trust a whistle pig from Woodstock. He may not be in his right mind.
Gonna help the boy with some homework then with any luck laze around the rest of the evening.

If spring doesn’t come soon I’m gonna make some groundhog dumplins. I’ve never eaten a groundhog before but I’m about ready to!

Our yard and driveway is like an ice rink still. My husband has already fallen once feeding the dogs. I will never complain about mud again if all this ice would just melt.

See... I ordered on Friday. When I ordered it it said Monday. As soon as it went through it said Tuesday. Now it's been bumped to Friday. A full 7 days.

I think I finally have a pet peeve.

I have to wait until our driveway thaws before I can order anything else. It is solid ice and no one can get up and down it. I have to work and weather isn’t an acceptable excuse to call in when you work in healthcare so my husband has been driving me. Our native Californian neighbors haven’t left the holler in 2 weeks. lol

I imagine the arctic winter storm blizzard we all got has slowed things down a bit.
