Flowers that chickens do not like to eat!

I'm following as I'm also planning my spring planting. I think the plants that chickens don't eat are often the plants that others don't eat for one reason or another and hopefully will not be eaten by the wild rabbits and other rodents here. I have not planted them yet, so take this how you will, but Daffodils are supposedly toxic to most critters, so hopefully will do well and be "chicken proof." Since you are in Phoenix, I'd think you can plant some succulents and do fairly well with them too.
They stay away from tomatoes and miniature roses, but I plant them in large pots, they have enough dirt in the yard that they can have fun in so they leave them alone.

I don't have a list but I noticed you mentioned pansies. Pansies like it cool and we can even overwinter them outside, but once the heat of summer rolls around, they die off. I wouldn't think they would be a good choice for summer in Phoenix.
Pansies thrive in Phoenix from November to about May! They are Annuals and you are right don’t survive the heat of summer. Fortunately it’s not summer here all the time!

They like to eat some succulents, I have lost a beautiful one to their fun.

Hi. Since you live in my neck of the woods I can tell you they do like Potato bush and red bird of paradise. I've managed to keep a hibiscus but only because they can't reach the upper leaves to eat and those yellow bell things too.

I'll take a pic of a bush they leave alone. They're native to Australia and I can't remember what they're called.

Thank you! I would like a pic! They do leave my mother in law tongue plants and aloe/agave alone, but more plants would be nice!

I am getting ready to turn my back house into a B&B and of course have beautiful chickens running around my backyard! I’m asking to see if anyone knows what types of flowers that chickens do not like to eat as I’m going to buy a bunch of flowers and pot them and put them around for color. I noticed they do not like to eat tomato plants but other vegetables they do eat. So maybe someone out there knows what types of flowers they are not interested in. In my area they are selling petunias and pansies right now etc. (Phoenix, so no snow here!!!) thank you
Chickens are amasingly adaptive and can beat any machine when it comes to digging holes!!! Mine have left alone.. Rosemary, Tomatoes, Wild sage, Forsythia, Hummingbird bushes, Lilac, Mint, Mugwort (sounds yucky, but it's a pretty dusty green bush) - especially the larger established plants. But they totally excavate under them.
Completely ate my Mums and Marigolds and dug into the garden numerous times, even ate the Okra.
You want cute medium high fences to grow pretty flowering plants behind and the distasteful plants in rock gardens and planters in front. Planters that a chicken can not sit on or in. If it's big enough for them to get into you can put piles of pine cones in around the plant, they don't like walking on them and too hard to scratch out.
Also rock or gravel walkway makes easier clean up chicken 💩 poos
