My pullets have started to get fluffy bottoms. About half of them have varying degrees of fluffiness while some of them have no noticeable changes. Is this a sign that they might be getting ready to lay eggs? They are 4 months old.

They are still kinda young , but it is possible. Are their combs and wattles red? If so, then they are definitely getting ready to lay soon.
