To All Who Know...
Sooo, I've been looking at some of the more..."fluffy" sorts of chickens. I'm loving the Sultans, Silkies, Houdan and the fluffy legged types like the Brahma's. The only thing I'd really like to know are the following...
1. Do the breeds with lots of extra feathers on their heads have more eye problems than other less fluffy types.? And what can I do about avoiding those issues.?
2. I think there would be a lot of extra care with bird sporting this sort of plumage and I was curious about what that would entail.
3. Last of all, if I were to get feather legged birds what sort of run footing should I provide during the wet times of year to keep their feathers nice and not cause medical issues.? The same goes for the birds with the profuse head foliage, will they need to be kept inside.?
Sorry if I'm asking questions in the wrong pllace and so many at once, but, I wanted to get them all written out at once.
