How are you doing? Cleo still had maggots when I did my soak. I took peanutmomma's tip and got the betadine flush and got several more. We'll see. Hope you're feeling ok!

Got another tip for y'all. We have a local chicken club with a FB page and today one of club members posted that she had to clean up an awful fly strike last night. She found a can of Screw Worm (she also has horses) and sprayed on the wound. She said the Screw Worm killed the maggots! She said she bought her Screw Worm at TSC so I thought I would pass that along. The next time I am in there I am going to pick up a can for my chicken first aid kit.

This is an old thread now, but thought I would report that Joanne pulled through with flying colors. I was amazed how quickly the wound healed. Unfortunately she was killed by a mink a year later. My picture is of her. A great lady!
