Any extra redness or swelling? Heat beyond normal? Is that a weeping trail of drainage? I just posted photos but of advanced fly strike = hole in abdomen packed with worms. Might be initial fly strike. Best to keep an eye on it. Did you cut the feathers or did she pluck them in irritation? Lots of new quills coming in. Might also be a trapped quill trying to break through the skin. In both cases doesn't harm to wash area with an antiseptic cleaner until it resolves. Chlorhexidine wash or iodine wash.View attachment 3885818
