She has been back with the flock for a while. Unfortunately, unexpected things happen and we had to go get my mom and bring her to stay by us for a while so I had to rush things a bit more than I wanted. I am disappointed in how her wound will look once fully healed, probably a scar, but it is healing and she is doing well. Thanks for the advice and help getting her here.

Not sure I will ever use blu kote again, that stuff was ridiculous to remove. lol

It's good that she's with her flock and it sounds like she's healing up just fine.
You may be surprised how well feathers will come in or even cover up the wound in time.
I had a hen that was scalped. All the way to the bone! She healed up and skin actually recovered the head and neck and in time, feather grew in. You couldn't tell, so hopefully this will be the case for your pretty hen.
