Fly Tieing question - how do you grade feathers?

My roosters have some beautiful feathers and I don't want them to go to waste when we start butchering the culls. Can someone tell me how to grade the feathers? This isn't a cull, but an example of his saddle feathers. He's less than a year old.

Could i see some pic of the hole bird i can tell more. Nice badger color

The bird on the right is the one in question. His saddle feathers are about an inch longer now than when this photo was taken. He's not a year old yet. So these feathers molt or keep growing?

Looking at the bird the neck would make feathers for streamer wings. The saddles would work as wooly booger hackle. How many birds do you have at this time? PM me on what you would sell the necks for. Remember to wash
, flesh and borax them well
