Fly trap fell on duck

So I had one of those cardboard sticky fly traps hanging in the duck shed. Well, it fell on one of the hens and I managed to get it off, but she’s covered in sticky feathers. Is there anything I can do to get the goo off or let it wear off?

Vegetable oil is supposed to help remove that kind of goo.

Indeed! That’s what I would try.

Only one of my bantam chickens actually flew into one and was hanging by her wing. Right before time to lock up. I actually clipped her wing feathers to get the sticky tape off Not sure what else would work.

Yes, I would try oil or peanut butter. Coconut oil has helped me in the past. I can't tell you how many times I've had this happen!

Coconut oil is a great rec. Or any type of cooking oil not sure I'd want to put peanut butter on my bird but hey if its known to work. Think I'd try the oil first.

Wish I knew this when our golden retriever got into the sticky traps.

Now Id love to have seen a Golden Retriever with peanut butter spread on his fur. One thing about it if you have another dog it would help you clean the one with peanut butter on it off.
