My chicks are about 3 months old, and up till yesterday, all of them would go into the coop at dusk like clockwork. Last night and tonight, one of the chickens has decided not to go up into the coop to roost. They have a large area to range, and I can't find her to put her in the coop. What's going on? It worries me that she is outside the coop all night, and easy prey for predators. In the morning, she comings running when I call and spends the day with the rest of the chickens. I have 4 birds. Please help!

It's a standard coop, two layers, with a roosting bar and 3 nesting boxes. It's screened in, on all four sides, (except the one side on the top layer where the nesting boxes are, and is in a secluded, shady, private area. It's been extremely hot, 90 degree days, maybe 60 degrees at night. Are you thinking it may be too hot for her?
