Flying with eggs and the xray machine

I am going to be taking a trip and want to fly with a few eggs to give to someone else. Will the eggs going through the xray machine mess up the fertility or anything?

Probably yes, but don't ask me why exactly! I say that because when shipping or recieving eggs I have alway been cautioned to mark the boxes "Do Not X-Ray".
