flying?

my hens decided to perk up today and they were trying to fly

one actually got it's wing caught in the strings we put up to keep out the hawks and things

she was sitting on a beam and was ok that way but her wing was caught

i just pulled the string out from under her wing, it wasnt tangled up or anything

now needless to say i am worried about going to work and leaving them out there

i dont want to keep them in the coop all day (they seem to like that tho) but i dont know what to do

all day is about 4-5 hrs
