Flys and mosqitoes

What is the best thing to use to control flys and sketters.We have them really bad.It just gets on my nerves.But our chickens and ducks are not the main reason for the cause.There is turkey houses right around us.Anyone have any advice.Thanks so much,BackSwampGirl,NC

I use Food Grade DE against flies outdoors, fly sticky strips indoors. For skeeters/mosquitoes, I do my best to keep any standing/stagnant water emptied out. We live rurally so I can't do much about the 7 -12 "stock ponds" that the skeeters love but I use Avon's Skin-So-Soft daily and it helps keep them at bay.
