Flystrike!! Help me!

My hen has flystrike. I removed the maggots, bathed her, and gave her antibiotics. Is there anything else I can do??

I would spray the wound with blu-kote. Good Luck!

I would apply a liberal amount of plain neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment to the wound. Sometimes the bath may need to be repeated for a day or two to make sure all maggots have surfaced. Here is some reading about fly strike:
