Oh man, sorry about that, I do agree to never pay until the job is done or at least in increments.

Maybe you can build your own coop? Do you have the materials? I know you probably paid him for a reason, but might be a good option. I'm actually building my own coop right now, so if you go with building your own I would be glad to help:)

Thanks. I wish I could build my own......I'm not handy...like really not handy I took woodShop in high school and they always made me paint they never let me do the work (u_u)

I'm so sorry that happened to you! I can relate, having recently moved to a place where I know no one, every single person I've hired ended up robbing me (including my next door neighbor's son).

Not sure if this helps but have you checked craigslist? There are some free to cheap coops not too far from you. Here's one you might be able to adapt without having to start from scratch: https://austin.craigslist.org/grd/d/chicken-coop-free/6386308962.html

That's a good idea! :goodpost: I completely forgot you could buy coops, ruled out the idea for myself because they were either overpriced(175 for a coop that fits two chickens:rant) or too large to transport on craigslist(I was also a bit worried about disease from the coop).
But sorry that's just me rambling, hope you can figure something out
