Does anyone grow their own fodder?
If so.......what are some of the benefits and is this hard to do?

I do! It will cut back on your feed costs substantially and provide them with a well balanced diet. I'd recommend trying a seed mix such as:

Be sure to still provide them with their regular feed though. You'll be amazed how much money you can save.

They also love these beets and the yield is substantial:

Grow some sunflowers as well and they will love you for it.

How do you go about feeding them those huge beets?!

Cut them into pieces and toss them in my food processor. They love them
