I just went out and checked on Alfonzo and his eyes were stuck shut so I opened them and one of his eyes look ok but he wouldn’t open his other eye. But his “2nd” eyelids are chunky and dark looking. When I first opened his eye he keped preening himself ( or at least it looked like it).He also has huge bags under his eyes. He won’t let me open his eyes any more.

Mycoplasma Gallisepticum or MG can cause swollen eyes with watery drainage that can be sticky and dry, causing crusting or stuck together eyelids. It is a chronic respiratory disease. Nothing cures it, since it remains in the body for life, but rinsing the eyes with saline eye wash may help. Follow that with applying a dab of Terramycin eye ointment or plain Neosporin ointment in each eye twice a day. If eyelids are stuck, use a warm wet compress for a few minutes to soften the crust. Have you heard any sneezing or congestion?
