Follow along on my Coop Build!

Looks great! Where did you get the linoleum?
I bought a box of peel and stick 12inch x 12inch tiles at our local hardware store. It was about $17 for a box of 45 tiles, I have extra since I only needed 24. I kinda screwed up tho and didn't cover it and it rained overnight. I'm most likely going to have to put a clear coat over the top of it now.

I did get more side walls done after work today. really hoping I can get this done in the next day or 2.

Omlet Automatic chicken door! Love it! I'll post more updates with the door once the whole coop is complete.View attachment 2106480

So far it's looking real good! I was looking at the same set of plans to build, and this is only making me want to do it more haha. I was curious, do you have an idea of about how much money it's cost you so far for the materials?

I haven't tracked expenses. Although I made a couple of unnecessary purchases, I would say I'll probably end at between the $400-500 range. That may be a high estimate. I'm not including the automatic Chicken door in that price (which was a personal preference of mine.) $200 with tax.

Plywood, 2x4's, posts, roofing, nails, hardware cloth, primer/sealer, (I already had fencing and chicken wire.) There's lot of little things that add up quick. To buy a coop this size though prebuilt would be much more expensive.

Getting there. But it's always something with a project right?! My drill died this past week, so project is on hold until I can replace the drill or borrow one for now.

Great job. Something I’m curious about for my own, the space where the rafter comes down and siding doesn’t reach up there, will you add trim board?
