How can I keep checking in on the threads that I post to without having to wade through all of the posts?

You can click on the "show new posts " link beside the thread you posted in.

If you click on 'subscribe to this topic' you get a notification in your email.

On the top of the page you will see a blue bar, click on Profile. Now scroll down to show all topics, those are the posts you started. Show all posts are all your posts.

Or use the "Show your posts" link to the bottom left of the index on the forum.

I subscribe to the topic, then click "show your subscribed topics" at the bottom of the Index page; I don't even look at my email.​
