what does it mean when chickens follow each other in a line in usually a circle. ?

Maybe they are playing follow the leader or ring aroung the rosie! I've not seen that, but mine will walk in a single file line down the sidewalk in front of the house and it sure is cute! Maybe they are circling around something to look at??
