I've been feeding my baby quails dodson and horrell chick crumb they are running out I ordered more but it will arrive 5th april due to covid 19 is there an alternative food or no?

Can you stretch what you have left with corn meal, wild bird seed, hard boiled egg - anything to make sure that they still get a % of the balanced diet.

Any other turkey or gamebird starter will work fine as. Look for 24 to 30 percent protein. I like the Purina Gamebird/Turkey 30% starter especially for high production strains.

In a pinch meatbird/broiler starter will work ok.

I ran into a similar issue. I wound up having to get mine layer crumble from the local feed store. Initially, I was feeding them eggs to help with protein (the crumble only had 16%) then I mixed floating catfish food pellets with the crumble (which I got at Petco). They had 30% protein. Then I offered fresh table scraps, just in case there were any vitamins the crumble didn't cover.

If you can get your hands on crumble, do just about a 1:1 ratio. That'll give you about 23% protein. What I did was more by weight so it could be more accurate. I would do 1000 grams of crumble and 1000 grams of catfish food. You can add a bit more catfish food to up the protein percentage but I was still supplementing with eggs so I didn't need to.
