More important than the brand name is the guaranteed analysis. Most manufacturers make feed that is at least adequate for the birds of the age it is intended to feed. Depending on age, crude protein % and calcium % are of primary importance. For growing chicken chicks about 18-20% protein is good and under 1.5% calcium.
Lysine, methionine, vitamin A, D and E should be as high as you can find in a prepared feed.
